Once again I was pleased with this comic. We do find out the "truth" about Sara's kid. The question is, can we really believe it? Hmmm...

This is how crossover's need to be handled. Characters from different series are being drawn together but it makes sense. There's no senseless, shameless appearances just for the sake of throwing them in. Cyberforce's appearance in issue 1 was borderline with that but what made that okay was it showed or reminded us that they do share the same "universe."

Things are starting to come together. Where as some questions are answered, we are left with some others. Fights are fought, lives are in jeopardy.

So let's see, we have action, suspense, answers, and of course cliffhangers. The birth of Sara's child is fast approaching. The Top Cow Universe may not be the same once that happens. It will be interesting to see where this is going to go. How will the characters be changed after this? It's been announced that the Darkness will have an ongoing series later this year and the Angelus will have a "Pilot" issue (with the potential of a series of her own). The events in this series will really lay out the foundations of what could happen in those series.

From front cover, to the last page, it is completely immersive. From the artwork, to the ongoing catalysts of the Angleus hunting down Sara (and her newborn) into this world. Honestly, this mini-series is alot more bolder than other comics I've read in a long while. Step aside with the X-men "messiah complex", the Witchblade is bringing forth a new human life, and that's news more than anything. The father? that question is strong, and it could very well be the Darkness wielder (or so he says). Although the Blade's long sought out intentions have been promising from whomever becomes its bearer, has it ever done this before? Kinda makes you even more curious with whats ahead. And when this baby is born, what of the Angelus? Thankfully this new life has some guardian angels, and they will stop at nothing to make sure that its momma is well protected. For one, these are true friends, till their heart stops beating. If there's anyone reading anything other than this, you must be blind. Pickup this mini-series because you've been missing something. And it is a story well worth telling.
