Firestorm, The Nuclear Man
is a comic volume from DC Comics that started in 1978
When student Ronnie Raymond and Professor Martin Stein get caught up in an explosion at a nuclear reactor plant, the two fuse together to become Firestorm, the nuclear man. Because Stein was unconscious at the time of the explosion, Raymond is the active one, but can "hear" the professor talking to him in the Firestorm persona and vice versa. This run only lasted 5 issues before falling victim to the DC "implosion" of the late 70's.
