Final Crisis: Secret Files # 1 - Balancing Act!

I love Final Crisis. I was looking foward to this clearing away all of the countdown continuity mess with the new gods and help a bunch of readers enjoy final crisis. But we didn't get that. Instead we got a really good Libra explanation by Len Wein. Len created Libra so that was a nice touch. This basically shows Libra's origin, how he became a criminal, and how he came into contact with Darkseid. This was needed and was really really good but the solicit talks about Darkseid's death shattering the multiverse. That was never mentioned here. That is the main thing that needs to be explained for Final Crisis and is more important than the Libra fiasco even if Libra's story here was really good. We also get a page from the Crime Bible, a Morrison description of the anti-life equation, and a sketchbook of Nix's drawings from issue 5. Overall this was both a letdown and a good book. Only buy if you are really enjoying Final Crisis.
