Batman missing in action! Superman immobilized! Green Lantern on trial for his life!

A shadow is falling across Earth's super heroes — and now it's Wonder Woman's turn to face the Evil Gods!

What bizarre warning from beyond awaits Frankenstein, The Question and the agents of S.H.A.D.E. in the shadows of the Dark Side Club? What grim fate lies in store for The Human Flame? What happens when the Anti-Life Equation hits the internet? Can the Fastest Men Alive outrun The Black Racer — Death himself? And who are the Justifiers?

The answers are all here as the unstoppable rise of evil continues in FINAL CRISIS #3 by Grant Morrison and J.G. Jones.

Frankenstein and some S.H.A.D.E. operatives track down Renee Montoya to the Dark Side Club and see the mummified body of Boss Dark Side, the operatives attempt get Montoya but she escapes it seems the S.H.A.D.E. leaders wish to invite Renee to join their ranks. Frankenstein discovers a secret prophecy in Boss Dark Side's office that says "Know Evil". Outside in the the streets seems to be a meteor crashing in the streets but it is in fact Overgirl of Earth 10 in the street seriously injured, Renee attempts to help her but Overgirl possibly gives a warning in the German language possibly passes away. Renee is then approached by the S.H.A.D.E. agents.

Nix Uotan is fired from his job because his boss says that he is disturbing the customers with his questions about the Gravitons as the two talk Monitor Zillo Valla listens and leaves. Nix making his way home sees news coverage of sightings of Metron's symbol all over the globe he is still watched by Zillo Valla.

Jay Garrick is seen resting speaking to his wife Joan, Wally West's wife Linda and Barry Allen's widow Iris and Wally's children Jai and Iris. Jay tells how him Wally and Barry attempted to stop the Radion bullet from hitting Orion as the two were chased by The Black Racer. Jay then assures an emotional Iris that her husband Barry is indeed alive.

Libra shows his gratitude toward Human Flame by giving him a new helmet, weapons and headquarters acting like it is a good gesture but then sneaks from behind and shoves the helmet on Human Flame that infects him with the Anti-Life Equation turning him into a mindless servant. Lex Luthor along with his bodyguards comes to tell Libra he still doesn't trust him but Libra surrounds Luthor with Anti-Life soldiers telling him it is either listen to him or become an Anti-Life slave.

Superman is seen with his wife at the hospital because she is in critical condition after the attack on The Daily Planet. Superman says that it is his own heat vision that is keeping her heart beating. The Monitor Zillo Valla then stops time and comes to speak to Superman telling him she knows everything about him and that she can help Lois but they must leave together "Before it's too late".

The Alpha Lanterns take Hal Jordan into custody blaming him for Orion's murder. Although the other heroes believe that Hal is not the murderer he says that he can't recall he was when Orion was murdered so he must still go to trial.

Wonder Woman Alan Scott and Black Lightning state their skepticism at the accusations aimed at Hal. Alan reminds Wonder Woman there has always been the good New Gods to help Earth fight the evil New Gods but without their help they are at a disadvantage he then reminds Wonder Woman of the draft President Roosevelt used in World War 2 to assemble superheroes called Article X.

Drafted superheroes include Oracle, (who is told by Alan Scott she can provide coordination between the Superheroes now that Martian Manhunter is dead) the mysterious new Aquaman,

Freddie Freeman (who is saddened at his lost of contact with Billy Bastion and Mary Marvel),

Supergirl, Tawky Tawny, Black Canary and Green Arrow. All the drafted heroes comprise of members of the JLA, JSA, Teen Titans, Outsiders and various other factions and independent superheroes.

In Japan Shilo Norman and Sonny Sumo discuss their mutual belief that the evil New Gods have infiltrated Earth without anyone knowing (Sonny Sumo seems to recognize Shilo's Motherboxxx but not his life in the Forth World) both are soon attacked by Justifiers only to be saved by the Super Young Team who still are waiting for a autograph. The group of heroes then leave Japan for help.

Wonder Woman and the Atomic Knights go into Bludhaven to investigate who has taken over Command-D test site only to discover dead agents on the ground. They are confronted by slightly disturbed Mary Marvel wearing black leather with pink hair who kills members of the Atomic Knights and engages Wonder Woman in battle. Mary admits in battle that she listens to Darkseid now and that the evil New Gods are in fact hiding in human bodies she then breaks a capsule with the omega symbol on it on Wonder Woman saying they needed a disease carrier and that it's Wonder Woman.

Mokkari then emails the Anti-Life Equation to every computer on Earth despite the best efforts of resistance from Oracle and Mister Terrific.

Wally West and Barry Allen then arrive in Central City apparently a few weeks in the future with crimson skies. Wally asks Barry to talk to him but Barry still is regretful of not saving Orion from the Radion bullet. The two do not see the new Female Furies in the form of a Anti-Life infected Wonder Woman, Batwoman, Catwoman and Giganta coming to kill them

I'm still in the dark. 0

The issues slowly start to improve as more...um...normal things start to happen...I guess.  I still don't get where it's going or why it needs the thirty subplots with random characters.  The Wonder Woman page at the end was kind of cool and I really do feel the horror of Batman's situation and the strangeness of Hal's  but I still think it's way too cluttered for any of it to be anything more than the mess it is right now for me.  There's too much excess waste it's only a 7 issue arc, that's ...
