Origin
At first presented as a modern day occult detective who fights werewolves and vampires, but because they are from Pluto he is called a planetary detective (also he appeared in Planet Comics so they had to give a reason for this character being in it’s pages).
After that it is shown that he lives in an unknown distant future and he concerns himself with dictators from other planets and alien invaders like the other characters he shares Planet Comics with.
He has no special talents, other than a hard right fist, a ready .45 automatic (later zap gun), a sneaky nature and a pencil thin mustache
Later in the series however it is revealed that Fero now has pills that on being swallowed cause fantastic transformations, such as turning himself and a companion into 10 year old children so they can sneak past guards holding them, or in one adventure becoming a 12 foot tall monster.
What all these pills can do, and where he gets them is never explained.
