Marvel's new arch following up the heroic age Fear Itself is coming up. I basically missed most of the Heroic age, but I'm definitely will not miss out.

I am looking forward to it. I'm a little confused with Heroic Age though. Heroic Age has ended? I wasn't aware that Heroic Age was a specific arc, I thought it was a new beginning. As in, anyting after Heroic Age is in fact a part of Heroic Age. Can anyone correct me please?

I wait for the collected edditions/graphic novels, so I'm always behind the times by a few months. So I've still not read much on Heroic Age yet.

Could someone give me a very brief explanation of what it's about?
I enjoyed Dark Reign but the Heroic Age has been utter crap, imo. EDIT: I enjoyed the beginning of Dark Reign, the Siege stuff was atrocious.

The Red Skull's daughter finds out that Odin isn't the real all-father and frees the real one and he makes her a god for her trouble, they basically start sh!t from there.

Honestly, I was hoping "Fear Itself" would revolve around the God of Fear Phobos and Greek mythology, but no it's going to be about Norse mythology...again. We just had the Siege of Asgard? Apparently the focus of the story will be on Thor, Captain America and Red Skull. I have a feeling they are trying to tie this story-arc in conjunction with the release of the Cap and Thor movies. Though I am looking forward to Baron Zemo's role in all of this.

@InnerVenom123: Don't know, just sounds like one of those things that can't be ended without some kind of immense plot device. One of the reasons I hate reality warper types. How do  you beat a god who's got the backing of an all-father (whatever that means)?
