He's probably the one among the worthy seen the most as a monster and he was the only one able to break away from his hammer influence (unless I missed some other doing it), kinda ironic, especially when you consider Ben is a worthy.

The Thing did a break away from his hammer with help fro m Franklin Richards. He was the first one to do so.

O yeah forgtot about that, but unlike Ben Hulk didn't get the help from one of the strongest reality warper. The whole point is kinda that he did it from his own will.
