    FEAR ITSELF TIE-IN Namor is targeted for death by one of the hammer-wielding Worthy and this is a battle no one hero can survive! With the X-Men under siege from a shocking foe and all hope seemingly lost, the Sub Mariner finds an ally in his old friend Dr. Strange. Can Strange recruit a team powerful enough to keep the seas safe from the spread of fear and chaos gripping the world? If he can't, there may just not be any hope for the rest of the Marvel Universe!

    Pleasant surprise 0

    First off: I picked this one up mainly because I always wanted to read something with Namor in it ( other than a few X-books I've read ). The fact that this book also features the Defenders ( Doctor Strange, Lyra, Silver Surfer ) piqued my interest even more and because of it being a Fear Itself tie-in I simply couldn't resist. So I kind of went in this story without any expectations.  The story Attuma already is one of the Worthy when the story starts ( so you won't see the change itself happen...

    I picked this issue up because I like the idea of The Defenders, even though I've never read any of those old issues. The whole idea of the team (Surfer, Hulk, Namor, Dr Strange) just sounds so bizarre but awesome at the same time, I couldn't resist. And you know what? Although it's a little different here, this is a quality story. Loa is a great little hero, Namor is always compelling, and the arrival of the Surfer at the end is brilliant. This series looks like it will be a good backup for tho...
