Attack of the Blue
The story starts with Chance explaining his past as a test pilot with modern airplanes and how his earned his nickname. But he realizes that no joke was going to fix the damage he has caused at DMD and bring back all the victims we on the deck of the USS Washington.
In Honolulu, Hawaii, the doctors are surprised when they make a scanner to Aspen and they don't find any injury, she's only dehydratated when she was going to get drown.
Near Midway, Killian meets with his people the Blue, a race of beings that are capable to live under the sea and on the surface. Killian orders Kyla and Taras to attack different objectives. Killian says he'll take over the third one.
Two days later Aspen wakes up and Akiko Nigata is with her explaining what happened to her and why she's alive too. At the naval base in Pearl Harbor, Admiral Mayland is reproaching Chance for his actions and tells him his grounded until new order. While picking up his things Chance tells his co-pilot, Mack, that he's leaving he's going to see Aspen and apologise for what he has made. Once Chance is gone Mack informs admiral Mayland about this. The admiral pick up the reports about Aspen and destroys them.
Meanwhile, the attack of the Blue against a Japanese platform near the coasts of New Zealand begin, but, it's cut to see Aspen in the middle of the ocean and talking to a child call Cameron. When Aspen returns to her house Chance is waiting for her but the welcome is not warm.
Back to the platform we see the devastating attack the Blue make and without taking prisoners.
Meanwhile in San Diego, Chance explains Aspen he's the risponsable of the damages at DMD. On the deck of a modern boat Cannon Hawke assigns a man to watch over Aspen because she's the only everybody has.
The interest for this story raises in this issue and the good art remains. We finally know who Killian is and the Blue and what their intentions are. Like the other issues I recommend it.
