Fantastic Four
Team » Fantastic Four appears in 5740 issues.
An intrepid group of astronauts: Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm originally received their powers after being exposed to an immense amount of cosmic radiation during a trip into space. Mutated and given strange powers by this exposure, they became the Fantastic Four and dedicated their abilities to the good of humanity.
FF2... Galactus is coming!
Someone on the wizard thread (who also likes Deadpool) said it was from the trailer? I don't remember it. Maybe I was too busy concentrating on the Jessica Alba scenes.
Deadpool, where's you get it? Not sure about the validity. You think there'd be more hub-bub about it. I saw the animated version a couple weeks ago but haven't heard anything else about it.
I don't think this is real. I don't ever remember seeing this in any previews and haven't heard anything about it.
doesn't look real either...
it maybe the compression down to Gif, but if there was something like that in the trailer or the movie, i'd think there would be more info on it...
Galactus fanboys would be going mad lol
nah, looks just as fake as this thundercats poster to me...
i could always download it and take it apart, see if there's anything that stands out...
but can't really be bothered lol
Taking what apart? The Thundercats girly? That could be...interesting.
About the Galactus image, I'm not holding my breathe. That would be too cool if he actually looked like Galactus.
ORACLE says:
"i ment take the galactus image apart...see if someones left a signature or something in it somewhere denoting it as a fake"
Sure you don't want to take the Thuder-feline apart?
Does someone have access to high speed? Check out the trailer. Not sure which one though. I'm not even going to attempt it here at work. Not on this computer. It'd end up flying out the window.

ok, taken the image apart...
nothing really stands out as it being a fake aside from how the 'rings of saturn' appear to bend and blur as his shadow passes over them...
could be a bad editing job for blending it, or it could be the Gif just being crappy quality...
then again... could be true...
doubt it though

i step back and apologise...
Marvel CEO Avi Arad updates on Silver Surfer: Arad confirms that the enormous planet devourer Galactus will be in the movie, but chances are he'll be all-CGI. "Galactus is a force of nature, not a being. That's all I'm saying."
So now that Tim Story has confirmed a Galactus appearance in FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER, the obvious follow-up question is what the big man is going to look and sound like. Well I can't vouch for how he's gonna look but perhaps how he might sound. Ain't It Cool is reporting that Laurence Fishburne will voice Galactus in the movie. If true a pretty cool choice. Of course Galactus could only have a total of five words and it might not make much of a difference at all. AICN is also reporting that the film recently tested in Seattle with the overall reaction being "sooo bad." Uh, that's not good. I was really hoping Story just had struggles adapting the first film and that he'd come into his own with the sequel. Damn, I'm really dying for this to be a great movie. The Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer and Galactus in one big movie and it's gonna suck?! Man this is like torturing the 11-year-old inside me...
Director Tim Story confirmed on his Blog page that Galactus WILL be in FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER!
What was said:
There continues to be much speculation about Galactus. Major speculation. We haven’t finished the design of him/it so be careful about what you read and believe. Trust me…no one knows. One things for sure, you can expect to see him/it. It will be pretty powerful. I’m having a lot of fun with the concept and believe me - MOST will be satisfied.
so after 10 minutes of research i come up with 3 confimations from Heavy sources that Galactus will appear in the movie...
man, this is gonna suck big time...
Oracle out

Wasn't that image from a video game? I haven't kept up with 'em.
Maybe that shadow is too? I checked back on the wizard board and no one has said anything about where it came from. It turned into a rant about Alba's acting.
Buckshot says:
"Nice. Where'd it come from?"

There are some explanations that I can think of:
A. the rings of Saturn aren't solid, they consist of billions of asteroids. The shadow bouncing off all them may have a distorting effect.
B. Galactus doesn't have a humanoid form, and that image of his head is somehow linked to what he really looks like (kinda like Ultimate Galactus).
C. The shadow is a nod to fans but won't have anything to do with his actual appearance.

Okay I'll get this off my chest. I would be really surprised if he appears the way he's supposed to. Yes we would all love it but they're not making the movie just for us. I think the average movie-goer that knows nothing about galactus would laugh at a huge guy in purple that wanted to eat the Earth. If they're going to put him in, they should do it right. No swarm of insects, no clouds, etc....

I agree, but here's my idea...
Galactus' true form in the comics is a humanoid star, the armor he wears regulates his immense power so that he doesn't have to. But, Galactus appears differently to each intelligent species, so what he even looks like with the armor on is a mystery.
So if you guys have ever looked at a star, there's a gas cloud around most of them. I thought that in the movie, Galactus could be in his star form in the center of the storm cloud. But instead of wearing armor to regulate his power, he'd appear as a humanoid once he comes in view of the Earth; but instead of a guy in a pink and purple mecha toga, he should appear more contemporary (maybe still pink and purple)... but the helmet has to stay in some form, it's basically his symbol.

The thing is he is being seen like that by some people since he takes on different images for different people. Guess we'll see.
As you can see it's from an issue of Wizard. I don't remember what issue or who was being interviewed. I just found that one day on the internet and was like WTF? So I saved it. Isn't that how it always goes?
That picture you posted is the most erotic picture of Galactus that I've ever seen... and no, I didn't save it, lol.
Although... some (girl) Nova and Galactus hentai would be kinda kinky. But, I'm waiting until people start drawing pictures of Deadpool getting it on with She-Hulk and Siryn. See, I view Deadpool as myself, so in my mind, it would be me knocking boots with She-Hulk and Siryn... and Jean Grey, and Invisible Woman, and the new female Ultron, and Wasp (kinky!), and Nocturne, and... err... maybe I should stop.

Just keep in mind that the new Ultron might still be Tony Stark. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I hate that argument, who is this average movie goer and can I slap him silly? You've already got a giant orange rock guy running around and a dude on fire, a silver alien on a surfboard, holy crap a giant purple costumed guy would ruin the movie? I'm with you do it right or don't do it at all. Or go ahead and make him an effette pretty boy like Blackheart and Doom.
I'm wondering what movies people base that average movie goer argument on, especially considering some of the most out-there movies with all kinds of weird crap in them are some of the highest grossing of all time (Star Wars, LOTR, Harry Magicstick Potter, etc).

I really think Hollywood doesn't give viewers enough credit. They still think that it's just a couple of kids that are still reading comics. But they've been running out of new ideas so they turn to adapting comics into movies. Now never mind the fact that comic movies, cartoons, video games, merchandise, etc are enjoyed by soooo many nowadays. Like you said, they think people can handle an orange Rock Man but may not be able to handle a giant dude like Galactus, someone who wants to eat the planet.
