This movie's gonna be hilarious.

This movie is so doomed. It's hand-tailored for failure. I've seen crack-casts that were purposefully comically bad -- that were better than this cast.

Kate Mara would be beautiful if not for her ridiculous nose job. I literally find it unsettling to watch her.

I can't speak on the other two, but Michael B. Jordan and Miles Teller have given great performances before.

I have no interest in this movie, though. I'll rent it when it comes out on PPV to see how they did.

My skepticism is high and can only be partially subsided by the greatest trailer of all time.

As I said on Facebook, I really don't have a lot of faith for this movie, and that's not just because of the casting.

Miles Teller: Watch The Spectacular Now. amazing actor

Michael B Jordan: Watch Fruitvale station: amazing actor

Jamie Bell: lots of small roles, but I usually like him

Kate Mara: again small roles...neve impressed me...never thought she was terrible either.

I say you could do worse. Though they all seem really young. And is Bell suppose to play thing? That seems like a weird choice - although they prolly gonna go CGI with it.

It isn't a matter of liking or disliking the actors. I LOVE Jamie Bell. But if you can't see that these actors are wrong then you need glasses.

Sorry, Joy. I don't accept that. People threw just as much of a bitchfit when Heath Ledger was cast as the Joker "We don't want a gay cowboy to play Joker" type crap.

And he gave the single greatest performance in any CBM.

Reeve was a soap opera actor before he did Superman. RDJ was washed up due to his drug problems. Was anyone celebrating those choices until after the fact? They weren't.

I'm never going to dismiss something until I see the performance, then I'll judge the decision.

The cast (again if true, Variety is pretty legit but its not like Fox came out and said it either) is pretty young. That could be an issue, though I think the Ultimate versions of the characters are a lot younger. But from a talent perspective, I don't think this cast lacks it whatsoever.

And again I refuse to get caught up in looks. They are changed so easily. Especially with Thing - which prolly gonna be CGI, its not that big of a deal.

All you need is talent.

Not saying the movie is going to great, but I'm not saying its going to be bad either. But I'm not going to make up my mind either way until I see. But the cast does have talent.

Already knew Marvel hated FF,so didn't have high hopes

It's an interesting cast, a lot younger than the previous cast. But think a lot of people need to stop judging an actor or actress for a past roles or the unfair criticism of their looks, remember this is Hollywood and movies do have their magic.

I came here looking for the Fantastic Four... but whatever this is, it's not it.

I'm usually optimistic about all movies until I see them but not with this one.

I really wanted to see somewhat good cast and I am actually seeing it but these actors have nothing in common with the looks of the characters.And also the roles they have played and the wayh they act doesn't seem fitting enough for the roles they have been chosen for.

Terrible casting from a source material that has integrity point of view, from a shallow money making studio angle however, this is dynamite. I'll wait and see who they decide to cast as doom before I give up completely.

I'm not just being dramatic here; this literally killed the movie for me.

I can't decide if Teller, Jordan, or Bell was a worse casting choice.

I don't like how young they are/look. I don't need to see another origin story where 75% of the movie focuses on them getting their powers and then learning how to use them and only able to beat the bad guy when they finally learn to use their powers together. It's been done so many times . . . including the first FF movie not too long ago. Why not start the movie in their career and have flashbacks to younger versions if you want to show an origin. As much as I love the FF, I just don't want to see them that young and raw.

Very excited for Teller and Jordan. Mara is usually bad but good on House of Cards so I'll keep an open mind. Bell is a surprise but is a solid performer so I'm sure he'll kill it. Most comic sites are going to explode over this news, but as a film fan I think this will be pretty damn good (or at least not at fault to its actors)

This movie is clearly aimed at a younger audience who has zero knowledge of the FF universe. Thank you Fox for making this movie terrible from the start and saving me about 30 bucks to see it in theaters! My wallet appreciates that.

Apparently, from what I have seen on other comic sites, this apparently doesn't matter to anyone. It is sad that lesser actors who just happen to look like the character would be more well received.

A lot of the reactions on here remind me why people never take the comic book community seriously. The reason why people see the medium as childish is because those who consume it are childish. @gungunw@joygirl@omega_ray_jay There so many elements that make up a good movie, casting is usually the least important. Actors are essentially puppets who dance to the sounds that the screenwriter/director make. You guys are the reason I hate entering comic shops.

Miles teller and Michael B. Jordan will be great and michael basically played johnny just with different powers in the movie chronicle. Patience isnt a virtue in the comic book community

I'm excited tbh. I love the Fantastic 4. And the human torch is black which is pretty cool. B-)
