Final Issue, Again
I haven't been one of the biggest fans of Hickman's work on Fantastic Four but the last couple of issues have been good and this is a good way to end the series, again (as he ended it previously with the death of Johnny Storm). I have also loved Stegman's art over the last few issues.
This issue starts with Doom going to another universe using the Infinity Gauntlet and creates life in his own twisted image. Doom is then overthroughn by his own creations because they are just like him so want the power for themselves. Older Val then wakes Reed telling him that they need to go save Doom.
This was a good issue and it was nice to end the series with the involvement of Doom. I would however have preffered if he was fighting the Fantastic Four but I can ignore that seems this was a good issue. I also liked how Val tells Reed not to trust her, especially when she's younger whilst later telling him to trust her, showing that she really is her fathers daughter. I also like how cause Doom created his world in his own image his creations did to him, exactly what he would have done if the roles where reversed. The only other thing I would have liked form this issue would have been the involvement of the other members of the Fantastic Four seems this is the last issue, and the issue landed up being a Reed, Val and Doom comic.
Final verdict. This was a good issue and was a good way to end the series. I don't know yet if I will be buying the new series but if I do I hope Matt Fraction and Mark Bagley do as good a job as Hickman and Stegman have done over the last few issues. I would highly recommend this issue and for people who buy this after FF #23 comes out, to let you know this story continues in that issue.
