"Prime Elements" part 4. Another great issue by Jonathan Hickman and Dale Eaglesham. In this we see the 4th and final city that is supposed to go to war against each other. The prison in the Negative Zone that Reed created during the Civil War has now become a city. I won't say too much about this issue so as to not to spoil things for others, but i will say Johnny Storm has a lil solo adventure in this. And we get to see some offspring of Annihilus. Let's get this out of the way. I love the Fantastic Four. I always have. I will read you to the bitter end. But...... I really hope this is the last 'set up' issue. I love the direction, the anticipation of what's to come and the artwork but let's get on with it. This is four issues in a row with very little action and even more questions that need answering. Not everyone may have the devotion or patience I have and I hate the idea that people may be dropping this book because of the slow pace....

Negative Zone madness! Johnny Storm ventures into the negative zone. I haven't picked up a F4 book in quite some time, and I know I've missed out on a lot of stuff, but luckily, Marvel has those sweet catch-up pages to let me know what I've missed out on since the last time I truly read a F4 book, when Human Torch was a herald of Galactus, during Disassembled. Fantastic Four was not fantastic in this issue. We start out with Johnny taking some girl home with him from a club and it turns out she is some bug/alien. She opens the door to the negative zone. Just pure madness is what's inside the negative zone. Johnny is trying to fight all the bugs off with his flames, but it didn't work out to well. Unfortuantely nothing really important happens from then on. At the end the weird alien people send their warriors into the negative zone to fight and that i...

Fantastic Four #578Hickman continues to do a stellar job setting up this event involving four cities in the Fantastic Four book. Everything has been interesting and is tying together nicely, much like Peter David’s X-Factor. The attention to detail is evident in the way that the story is presented.We have seen the High Evolutionary’s city rise from below ground, then we were introduced to a lost Atlantean city in the depths of the Arctic.
