A New Fantastic Four
This is Marvel making fun at itself, as they bluntly state in the early caption: "Suffice it to say that The Hulk, Spider-Man, Wolverine and Ghost Rider have gotten together for a little joy ride. We´d like to explain what´s happening, but even we aren´t sure! So bear with us on this one. It may never be very clear but we guarantee...it´ll be fun!"
Walter Simonson puts together one of the most stranger of teams ever: The Hulk (Mr. Fixit), Spider-Man, Wolverine and Ghost Rider, who are being misleaded by a person pretending to be Susan Richards, who claims that the Fantastic Four was murdered and that they need to discover who´s responsible for such atrocitus act. Simonson creates a great atmosphere for a fun issue in which monsters from Monster Island are being used as instruments for the Skrulls, who are searching a rogue leader of a rebel garrison that tried to assassinate the Queen. Mixing good dialogues, specially with interesting banters between Spider-Man and The Hulk, the right dose of action, the deceipt involving "Sue Richards" and Reed Richards and the New Fantastic Four going for their mission, Simoson makes a very palatable and fun issue, using each character persona in his favor to put the story as a whole, meaning that he absorbed every characteristic of the members of this new FF in order to write a cohesive plot, which worked pretty good.
Arthur Adams is amazing, what a brilliant artist: every panel is a bright sky for sored eyes, from the cover to all the panels, the details, everything is great!
The only bad thing is the exageration in some explanations, pointing out the obvious aspects of some scenes, what was a major flaw, in my opinion, in comic books before the 2000s.
