mask_of_tengu's Fallen Son: The Death of Captain America #5 - Acceptance review

    Milking The Captain.

Yes I said it. Marvel is milking the death of Captain America. Him dying IS very important, and I can understand extra issues dedicated to his memory, but I believe the last two issues of this series is mediocre at best.

What saves this issue is the art. The story telling seems forced and redundant. I don't really see anything really interesting here except the at sea burial for Cap. Nothing else...Marvel should have put that in an earlier issue...I bet we could skim all the issues of this series and put all the relevant points and it would only fill half a book. Only half way interested.

Was there Acceptance by Tony? Where? 0

So this is supposed to be the final stage of bereavement over the death of Cap. And it's supposed to be "Iron Man" as it says on the cover. Then...(spoilers)... Tony completely chokes at the memorial service and walks away leaving The Falcon to deliver a magnificent speech. I'm glad Falcon did it because Tony Stark just grinds my gears the wrong way. The Falcon gave a beautiful tribute and as the other reviewers have said, the artwork accompanying it was stellar all the way from pencils to color...
