This arc in the fables series finally gives some back story to Rose Red, one of the more under rated characters. Throughout the series she has been portrayed as, a slut, a liar, a man-eater, and after years of this story a well rounded person albeit spicy, sent crashing back down to broken pieces of glass. Formerly beautiful but now dangerous to anyone that gets close to her. In this issue she finally realizes that she wasn't abandoned by her sister. Mr. Willingham was very excellent in weaving ...

What About Rose? 0
Fables at the moment is a quiet series possessing a great deal of elegance. The current arc details the early lives of Snow White and Rose Red, in an attempt to explain why Rose has behave the way she has over Fables' lengthy run. Anyone with a passing familiarity with the fictional character of Snow White will have no problem getting the gist of what's going on. This isn't Disney though, so expect Bill Willingham's usual twisted style. I can't quite dismiss the tone of Fables overall as cynical...
