How long has it been?

How long in total has he been out of the prison that Apocalypse put him in?

Bump.

Well since he first appeared in the early 90's and because of the way time works in the marvel universe I'd say 5 to 10 years

@PrinceIMC: How did he become so skilled and powerful then?

Because Apocalypse made him that way combined with Bennet's own strong willpower being a soldier during the Crusades. Apocalypse used technology to create Exodus, technology that until then he had only used on himself. When Exodus immediately turned on him he had to put him into stasis, which probably caused Apoc to keep from advancing others like Sinister and the Horsemen as far as he had with Bennet.

Apocalypse only used the tech to unlock what Exodus already had inside him. Unlock it and add to it. Exodus was a powerful being in his own right, he just wasn't aware of it until Apocalypse opened him up and brought it out.

But he was a normal human he just happened to have the genetic potential to be incredibly powerful. Kinda like the High Evolutionary is incredibly powerful but really he's just a highly evolved human, evolved so far that he isn't even human anymore.

@PrinceIMC: So Exodus was born with only telepathy?
#9 Posted by PrinceIMC (5422 posts) - - Show Bio
@cracks: He wasn't born with any powers that I'm aware of. He was just a soldier during the Crusades.

@PrinceIMC: I see. So Exodus is not a mutant then; rather he is a mutate.

@cracks: No, he's a mutant. Bennet just needed the outside force to stimulate his dormant mutant genes. I guess a good example would be Cloak and Dagger. It's been established in cannon that they do indeed have the mutant gene, they just needed something extra for the jump-start.

@PrimeDirective: And what were Exodus' dormant mutant genes? Telepathy?        %Pr

@cracks: Practically limitless psionic abilities... His telekinesis and telepathy are so jacked up, it allows him to manipulate matter, teleport, heal the injuries of himself and others, raise the dead, and basically grants him immortality. That's not even the fullest extent of his abilities either. He could theoretically hold his own with some of the more cosmic contenders like Silver Surfer. Exodus has always been a beast. He just wasn't properly used for about five years and so writers forgot just how powerful he really is.

@PrimeDirective:Yeah.     I wonder how Exodus would perform against Stryfe.            %Pr

@cracks: Exodus did at one time fight X-Man. While Nate Grey did win the fight, they crossed each other right after Exodus had been just battling the combined forces of the X-Men and the Avengers, spanking them soundly with breaking a sweat, mind controlling Genosha's population, and holding a crushing blanket of telekinetic force over the entire island... SIMULTANEOUSLY! The two teams managed to find a momentary weak spot in Exodus' practically impenetrable defenses and luck into a win against Exodus at the last minute. That defeat had left him in a seriously weakened state. Exodus was still in that weakened state when he and Nate Grey crossed paths. Despite this, Nate specifically says that he only just barely managed to edge out a win and that the end results of the battle would have been completely different had Exodus been on his A-game. If Nate Grey says that a severely weakened Exodus is practically his equal, I'd imagine there's not much of a list he can't beat without contradicting his introductory years. Hell, one time Xavier hinted that Exodus dwarfed Magneto in terms of power.

@PrimeDirective: I wonder why they have not put Exodus into the X-Men tv shows or even live action movies. That would be cool.        %Pr

@cracks: His a hard character to get around his a Crusader, a Knight and man much older that the already accepted Wolverine and with vastly much more powers and his skin been red is a little hard to swallow to most non-comic readers and not like Nightclawer who is demonic looking and goes to Church, Bennet has nothing really positive or interesting. I like personally but no one has ever developed him, you see he has no family or any lovers. And as long he was alive you think he make a few children, none. Others heroes got too many
