    I miss the old Exiles.

Dialog is not Chris Claremont's strength... by any means. I think I'm being kind in putting it that way. The story itself isn't half bad... but the dialog that is spoken during the fight scenes is the kind of stuff that most people used to make fun of the X-Men books for. I also don't understand Claremont's obsession with Psylocke. I'll admit that I used to think the character was cool. I mean she's basically a trained ninja with telekinesis powers... what's not to like? I'd still like the character if she would have been kept that simple. Claremont is trying to make her seem a lot more important then the character should be, and it's a major turn off when reading it.

Basically the entire series is suffering, and isn't nearly as entertaining as it once was. There is no more mystery with the Time Broker, and all the characters on the team were established before the Exiles even existed except for Morph, but he's been with the series since issue #1. The earlier issues always had an uncertainty of who would make it back alive... or who would be sent back to they're original time line. All that is gone now. Even the earlier issues had a lot of character development, and now it's more like "The Exiles starring Psylocke".

I hate so say this again... but Chris Claremont has not evolved as a writer. Reading this issue was like reading something from the 90s. I still think he has good ideas, but like I've said before... he would be better off just plotting the issue, and having someone else write the script.
