Peter Parker is forced to take J. Jonah Jameson's nephew, Randy, to his dental checkup. While there, the Green Goblin busts in to kidnap Dr. Sadetsky- Randy's dentist and the inventor of a dental laser drill. The Goblin forces him to build an industrial sized drill, powerful enough to melt through two tooth-shaped, adamantium steel safes at the Dental Exhibit, containing ten million dollars worth of gold and silver. The precious metals were earmarked to make fillings for the worlds' poor.

Spider-Man follows a series of clues given out by the Goblin to track down Dr. Sadetsky, and stop the heist. The final confrontation is at the Dental Exhibit, and Spidey comes out victorious. As a bonus, not only does he get to web Jonah to one of the exhibits before he leaves, but as Peter Parker, he also gets to sell Jameson photos of Spider-Man and Green Goblin fighting, at more than JJJ wanted to pay (but at less than they were worth, according to the publisher's thoughts).

The inside front cover has a full page origin recap and summary of Spider-Man's powers. The last page is a full page of dental hygiene tips, along with advertising Aim toothpaste and Pepsodent toothbrushes. The back cover has a chance to enter the Aim Spider-Man Birthday Sweepstakes, the grand prize of which was to have Spidey appear at your birthday party, bringing along twenty "mystery" gifts for you and your friends.

    Exclusive Collectors' Edition: Spider-Man 0

***SPOILERS aplenty, but it's from 1980- get over it.***There is so much comic-y goodness to this comic, the only thing I can do is just jump right in! This is a promotional comic from 1980, and the thing to remember is that it's not just promoting Aim toothpaste and Pepsodent toothbrushes (see the last page's great ad) it's also promoting The Amazing Spider-Man. What better way to do that than a beautiful origin recap? Since it's on the inside front cover, the higher quality paper has really he...
