their mutant powers purged away.

2nd story: "If Wishes Were Horses"

Mirage tests her new ability to make solid mirages and make a mate for Brightwind. He tosses Dani in a river and flies off, and conjures up a Porsche to take her home. When a policeman stops her for driving erratically, she makes a driver's license, which makes the car disappear. The officer takes her into custody until Brightwind stops him. He lets Dani go.

Jessica falls ill of radiation poisoning, and Jonathan injects her with a special spider extract to save her life.
