Eternity is one of the top cosmic entities in the Marvel Universe and he is the personification of time, the universe, and as all living things. Eternity has been around since the beginning of the universe, and is omniscient, and omnipresent, nigh-omnipotent but that doesn't make sense if he is the personification of time, shouldn't he be omnipotent?

He is only omnipotent if he can do EVERYTHING which he cant, been proven. so thats why Nigh-Omnipotent

There's no such thing as being omniscient... only an eternal doubt within the belief that it could be true (makes sense?).

personally, I dont like how they portray certain beings to be more powerful or as powerful than Eternity. The cosmic order is always gettin skewed

for example...

the infinities... what kind of crap is that? they made him look bad in size and power. they were so random and mysterious.... and eternity didnt know about them. the only things that eternity shouldnt know about are things that the Living Tribunal ot TOAA (since they both suceed him in both status and power)

2. the beyonder... I hear that beyonder was more powerful before the ret-con. but the truth is regardless of what he is (the totality of his own galaxy) he should be anything to the personification of the universe. Eternity shouldnt be threatened by anything that is a part of him. the only expections should be Galactus(full power), Death/Oblivion, among a few others.

3. infinity gems, i wouldnt have such a problem if the bein which the gems originated from wasnt so random. thanos with the gems shouldnt be beating an abstract who has been what he is since the universe began.

im just saying that there is an order of things in the MU and lesser beings shouldnt be able to challenge the abstracts because of there place and status in the cosmic order of things.

Its like Superman beating Imperiex. if he really was the emodiment of entropy than no alien should be able to threaten him let alons defeat him

No, Eternity should only be relatively omnipotent.

i agree! like when dark phoenix rose up she was supposedly second to the "creator" but onslaught greatly surpasses her but he is no where near these cosmic deities?? i dont get it, Marvel needs to get some writers that make sense and stick to the order of things..sheesh.....one minute galactus is onequal levels of cosmic abstracts and the next minute he's getting beat by Thor and Odin??? really???
