Plot Summary

The newly awakened Eternals (Ikaris, Thena, and Sersi) confront the Dreaming Celestial. After easily dealing with the Celestial's Deviant guards, a small team of Avengers show up planning to battle the Celestial. The Eternals's programming kicks in, and they defend the Celestial. Iron Man gets knocked out of the battle, Yellowjacket falls victim to mind control, and Wasp falls into the mass slumber caused by the Dreaming Celestial.

Druig, Ajak, and Zuras arrive and form a Uni-mind with the other Eternals in order to deal with the Celestial. The Celestial, now awake, quickly tears the Uni-Mind apart. The Celestial starts speaking into the mind of Makkari, who has been unconscious up until this point. The Celestial tells Makkari that he will continue to watch the world until he gains enough information to make a judgment, and then he will judge.

Makkari, now fully awakened, gives this message to the others present. The Eternals and the Deviants are healed, and a conversation takes place between the Eternals and the present Avengers. Iron Man asks them which side they are on, and Zuras lets him know that they are far bigger than the Civil War. The issue ends with a staredown between Zuras and Iron Man.

Okay, this is strange. Gaimen has managed to amp up the danger, without actually increasing the tension in the book.
I actually think the most I can say about this issue is that it was interesting. It had it's moments. Two of wich had to do with some interaction between Yellow Jacket and Ikariss. Funny stuff. What is just amazing here is that everything on it's own is good. The writing, the art, coloring. Everything is top notch, it is just put together to form something ... bland.
Hopefully the last chapter will return the series to greatness.
