Eternal Warrior Discussion Thread
@allstarsuperman: Really liked him in Unity so I went and got vol 1 of his series today. I shall read it soon.
@jake_fury: cool. Its pretty good. If you catch up on his next arc its even better
@allstarsuperman: Just got done and thought it was pretty decent.
@jake_fury: It was good, I wish it would have ended a tad stronger, but like I said the next arc is even better.
@allstarsuperman: Yeah, my only complaint with Valiant is some of the trades are a tad bit short. Oh well, can't really complain since it only cost me $10.
Any other collected arcs with Gilad?
@jake_fury: No sadly, but you can get the 50 issues and one shots/yearbooks/mini series all combined for relatively cheap on Ebay.
- Issues 1-50.
- Yearbook 1 and 2
- Fist and Steel 1-2.
- Wings of Justice One-Shot.
@allstarsuperman: Ahh, thanks. I'll wait for some of the current stuff to be collected. Not a huge fan of older comics.
@jake_fury: If you're worried of bad 90's art, its not bad at all. One of Valiant' special things back then was Good writing with good art. They didn't do the Image/Marvel/DC thing with everything being dark and bulgy with its art and colors. I can't force you to read them, but you'd be missing out. They're some really good arcs in my opinion.
@allstarsuperman: Nah I'm not worried about the art. Just more interested in the current events that are going on.
How are the issues with Gilad in Archer & Armstrong?
@jake_fury: ok.
OOYYYYY the new issue comes out tomorrow! I'm so excited!
Me too, feels like forever,
@jake_fury: really good. I have only read 5-9, "Wrath of the Eternal Warrior", its a must read.
@allstarsuperman: Thanks for all the info.
@jake_fury: ok.

I agree. Do you know when the book is going on hiatus? I forgot when it was.

That's what I heard. They're putting it on hiatus for when the new books come out.
@arturocalakayvee: That sucks!!!!!! Drop one of my favorite characters and throw that Rai crap I don't care about in my face.
@smoking_gun Lets talk in this thread.
@allstarsuperman: Did you read Unity #0? You may like how they portrayed Gilad in that issue.
I kinda did. The story was more about the origins of Unity/Unit Y, but Gilad as decent in it. I am kinda mad that it gave him no new feats though. I really want to see this version of Gilad solo armies and fodderize the superskilled Immortal Enemy, like the classic version did several times.
@allstarsuperman: I am not so sure they are going to write Eternal Warrior to be the kind of guy who will just run through a whole army and come out the other side. He does seem to be a bit more subdued in the more current runs. I did like the last scene with Gilad in Unity #0, he lost his legs; but we know they are not gone for good. I did think that was a nice little touch. It shows exactly how tough he is and how hard it is to kill him.
Eternal Warrior: Days of Steel is coming out in 8 days. I am stoked to see how that story line goes. From the previews you may be getting your wish in that it appears Gilad will be taking on whole armies, the cover shot seems to be just that. Although looking at Valiant's website, it doesn't look like the run is going to be particularly long. I can't figure out why Valiant isn't paying more attention to Eternal Warrior titles.
@smoking_gun: Days of Steel is a 3 issue mini. I hope he acts and does something cool. I was really looking forward to The Valiant, because it was originally supposed to be just Gilad, Bloodshot, and Geomancer. But now apparently Ninjak is gonna be in it as well, and Livewire was on the cover, so I expect EW to take a back seat in that now.

Damn, I thought there were going to be more than just the three issues. I hope this miniseries shows that they are not paying enough attention to Gilad. I want to see an unlimited run of Eternal Warrior come back to the Valiant universe.
