Plot Summary
Reprints Amazing Spider-Man #s 21-43, and Annuals 2 and 3. Included are the first appearances of the Spider-Slayer, Molten Man, Crime-Master, Cat Burglar, Looter, Mendel Stromm, Joe Smith, Rhino, and Mary Jane.
While attending a demonstration in radiology, high school student Peter Parker was bitten by a spider which had been exposed to radioactive rays. Learning he had gained great spider-like powers, Parker donned a costume and became the Amazing spider-Man. The tragic death of his Uncle Ben -- A death that could have been prevented -- taught Spider-Man that he must use his powers responsibly, and on that day a true hero was born!
