    I think it's safe to say that there's a few of us that would love the Ant-Man movie to happen.  We keep hearing about all these other Marvel movies and there hasn't been much talk about this.  Is it going to happen?  Who will be wearing the helmet?  Will the ants be real or CG?  These are questions we need to know.

    Collider has reported on their partner site after Edgar Wright brought the topic up.

    Ant Man is something that I need to return to. I wrote a draft before ‘Scott Pilgrim’ started and it’s kind on back burner slightly just because I’ve been busy with this. But it’s something that I have got to return to. I have to do another draft after ‘Scott Pilgrim’ is done.


    I'll admit that I haven't read Scott Pilgrim yet.  Some of the books are sitting on my desk but I haven't taken them on yet.  I want my Ant-Man movie.  At least Wright has a first draft and in the article he mentions being happy with that draft.

    Now we simply have to wait...some more.  Who knows what will happen.  Once the final script is written and approved, then they need to begin the casting and pre-production process.  More importantly, who will we get as Ant-Man?  Are we going to see Hank Pym, Scott Lang or Eric O'Grady?  While it seems that Hank should be in the movie, let's be honest.  We all want to see Eric O'Grady, right?  Having a douchey character wearing the outfit would be golden.  The idea of a superhero controlling ants could be a hard sell to the non-comic book reading public.  But a superhero that controls ants and likes to use his shrinking powers to his advantage is another story.  Who's with me?

    I agree with you 100%....it'll most likely be about Hank but it would be so much better if it were about Eric

    I heard the same , Don't know how they can though, unless one of them will be a cameo, I doubt both of them can wear the suit.

    Never had any real desire to see an Ant-Man movie, but I didn't know there was a 3rd Ant-Man. After reading Eric O'Grady's bio NOW I do want to see an Ant-Man movie. Especially, if Edgar Wright will be able to complete it & get Simon Pegg in it. :)

    Ha Ha Ha Ha "likes to watch women eat" - very odd but very funny.

    I would for one would like to see an action comedy version of Antman, with Simon Pegg as either Hank or Scott but he would be better as Eric.

    1) If they do an Ant-Man movie, I don't think it will do well in theatres because as reaper said, the character isn't very well known amongst non comic book readers and how many non comic book readers are going to want to see a movie called Ant-Man?
    2)Simon Pegg would be an awful choice as Hank Pym. I'm sorry, I enjoy his work but he just doesn't meet the criteria if there going to go with Hank Pym as an Ant-Man.
    3)They have to go with Pym as Ant-Man. The whole point of all these movies they are doing  (Iron Man, Captain America, Thor) is to show how the Avengers were first formed. Since Hank was one of the founding members, it's gotta be Hank. Although it would be hilarious to see an O'Grady ant man and I think Pegg could pull that one off...

    I thought it was announced as "Irredeemable Ant-Man", meaning it would be Eric. Also, I could see non comic fans wanting to watch a funny Ant-Man movie, but a serious one? Not so much. I think a comedy starring Eric O'Grady would be more enjoyable and sell better.
