Emotional Spectrum
Concept » Emotional Spectrum appears in 325 issues.
The energies created by the emotions of sentient life, visible as different wavelengths of light. This concept appears only in the DC universe.
most powerful lantern color?
Blue is said to be the strongest in the spectrum. hope can be truly unstoppable if people use it the right way
The White Lantern Ring has been shown to do things that the others could and many things that they are not possible of doing.
I agree with Jedi that although the Blue Lantern Ring can do some pretty impressive things the fact that a Green Lantern Ring has to be in the vicinity for it to give the wielder abilities other than flight and a shield that protects that from the vacuum of space puts a major handicap on them.
Out of all of the Rings shown in the DC Universe I would go with the White.
Most of the other rings have been seen to be neutralized somehow by one Corps or another. But each is powerful.
@Billy Batson said:caucasian doesn't mean white btw. I don't know why people think it does since it means a person whose origins are the caucus of Asia. ;p Orange is also pretty strong too considering you are basically a one man corp/army.
caucasian like always :p
BB
Didn't mean white. Just look at my original post. :p
BB
Orange, only because the power is not being shared by multiple people and just one person uses the power, plus the entity is stored in the battery for additional power. But the problem with Orange is that its powers can be negated by the Star Sapphire Ring as well as the Blue Lantern Ring.
I would say either green and if it counts white. Reason for green is, its straight up the most stable, no hardcore side effects...
I thought the whole point was that they all balance one another out? Like an elaborate scissor, paper stone system except for the 'meta' rings like White and Black?
So things like 'hope prevails over fear but hope is useless without will' etc make sense.
Red would be the most powerful, but it is uncontrollable. Green is more well balanced.Reds have proven to be very dangerous but they have a number of weaknesses. If their ring is ever removed they would die and also a Blue Lantern can nullify their energies and extinguish their red flame

Indigo's don't need a lantern around for them to use their powers do they? John Stewart recently used the Indigo ring to turn into a black lantern and there weren't black lanterns around. To date the only Corps that seems to have that type of handicap are the Blue Lanterns who need to have a Green Lantern around in order for their ring to give them abilities other than flight, limited energy projection and a shield that protects their bodies from the vacuum of space.
In terms of power, the indigo tribe is the most powerful solely because they can use other Lanterns powers themselves. Now, in terms of singular power, Larfleeze is the most powerful because he has all that power to himself.

John Stewart recently used the Indigo ring to turn into a black lantern and there weren't black lanterns around.Mogo had some of the black energy in him since Blackest Night when he sucked in all the black lanterns. That is the energy the john used in that book.
Well, unlike the Blue lanterns, the Indigo tribe can use their own rings to do use projections and almost everything the other spectrum colors can without needing another lantern near them, but when they are in the same vicinity as another lantern, they can use their power. All of this, of course, is well known to anyone who keeps up the the Lantern Families or is into DC at all. The cool thing about it is, they can use any extent of the power as they wish and they don't even have to be a veteran Lantern of that specific color. John Stewart had the ring for like, not even a day and he blew up Mogo when handling the death spectrum for the first time. That is a HUGE feat that no other lantern can do considering Mogo is arguably the strongest Lantern and the heart of the Corps.
White and Black Not counting life and death Red offensively Blue DefensivelyBlue really isn't much of a defense against anyone other than Red or Orange since they can negate them, but even still they are pretty useless on their own without a Green Lantern.

Each of the Lanterns showed extreme proficiency when using the rings of the other Corps.@Kallarkz: Well, unlike the Blue lanterns, the Indigo tribe can use their own rings to do use projections and almost everything the other spectrum colors can without needing another lantern near them, but when they are in the same vicinity as another lantern, they can use their power. I have not seeing anything though that shows that a Indigo Tribe member can mimic the powers of other Lantern Rings...What exactly would there be to mimic anyways that is not inherent to all the power rings? Most power rings can heal, create energy constructs, force fields, communicate..etc.
In what issue did the Indigo tribe show the ability to sync with other lantern rings and then use that rings unique abilities?
@GreenLantern555 said:Wait, are you serious? It happens almost every time an Indigo Tribesman uses their powers. In the instance (i keep using this one because it is most recent) john Stewart used the black essence that was still inside of Mogo to produce a huge rifle that made Mogo explode. I know what you are thinking "Green Lanterns blow up planets all the time so it's not a great feat", but this is Mogo we are talking about here. The heart of the Corps and a Green Lantern himself. It would have to take the power of a black lantern to kill him and John used that power because of the Indigo ring. But its true that the Indigo Tribe has no apparent weaknesses to other Corps same with the Star Sapphire Power
The most distinct characteristic of the Indigo Tribe is their use of power staffs. In Blackest Night #5, it's established that Indigo Tribe members use their staffs instead of power batteries to charge their rings. In addition to being able to store indigo light energy, they are also capable of producing the power of other emotional lights as well, providing Indigo Tribesmen access to the abilities of other Corps. In Green Lantern (vol 4) #48, Indigo-1 is shown "channeling" a black power ring (her face taking on a decayed appearance), but it's unclear if the Indigo Tribe is capable of using the power of the Black Lantern Corps, as she describes their power source as a "black hole of emotion."
