I still think Charlize.
Emma Frost
Character » Emma Frost appears in 6154 issues.
Emma Frost is a fictional character originating from Marvel Comics. Originally starting off as a super villain and enemy of the X-Men, during which she was the White Queen of the Hellfire Club, Emma Frost is a powerful mutant telepath who can transform herself into organic diamond. She has become a prominent member of the X-Men. A gifted teacher, Emma is renowned for her beauty, wit, and sense of fashion.
who could play Emma Frost if they made a Gen X movie?
yvonne strahovski, charlize theron, tricia helfer.....brittany snow, and sara paxton for a younger emma....all great sexy actresses who could go super far acting wise
omg LOL whats wrong with you guys, some of you said such ugly old bitches loool jk, like finola hughes and sigourne weaver WTF thats not emma! all of the actresses i have seen either dont suit emma at all and the close ones are too cute to be ruthless and powerful, the face needs to be sexy not just cute.
The younger Anna Nicole Smith could have played her i think, but then she became trashy and is now dead :/ R.I.P, maybe Hayden Pannetiere could play a young version of her, i have also been searching for ages trying to find blonde actresses but none of them fit, in terms of facial appearance the ones who are the closest are January Jones, Ali Larter and, Victoria Silvstedt (but when she is more natural looking)
I still think January Jones (X-Men: First Class) was in the looks department the perfect Emma Frost:
i think Ali Larter could play a very good Emma Frost, whats important about Emma is to portray her bitchy-ness, but her soft side as well, while looking intelligent and strong at the same time, a skilled actress like Ali (many others too) should be able to pull it off
@The Dark Huntress: I think it was a combination of both. For me she didn't even look/feel like Emma. >_>
@Andy Steven Summers: I always wonder how much of that was because of the period that it took place in, though? She was written as being somewhat manipulative but in a demure (for lack of a better word) and behind the scenes way. It wasn't the Emma that we know and love, but it was also somewhat accurate for the time that it took place in, IMO.
Hated the hair and costume, though...

I think it was the lousy acting and horrible costume/hair.
Haha. I think we're in agreement with that.
@The Dark Huntress: She was the original actress set to play Emma Frost in First Class. According to reports she wasn't happy with about some script changes and felt it no longer felt right for her to play Emma. If you look it up First Class went through a bunch of script changes. The Director even ripped out about a dozen pages of the script. So this set up an opening for Ms. Jones and she got the role.
@god_spawn: I don't know whether to be happy or sad about that. On the one hand, she'd be a perfect Emma. On the other, I really admire her conviction for wanting to properly portray the character and I feel that the Emma in First Class was not the Emma that we have come to love. So good on Alice for walking away.
@god_spawn: I'm unfamiliar with Ms. Eve's work, but this makes me respect her tremendously. How much better would the superhero genre of films be if more individuals were willing to take a stand like this? Of course, for every one like this, there's at least a dozen who are more than willing to just shut up and collect a paycheck.
@Shadow_Thief: She really isn't that well known, she has only been acting since like 04 I think? and most of it is in the U,K, with some various stuff in the States. Anyways if you want to check something with her in it, check out a movie called Crossing Over where she played a character called Claire Shepherd.. It's got some solid actors like Harrison Ford and Ray Liota and had some really heavy elements to it. I do know she is going to be in Men in Black 3 coming out this year too.

I'm convinced.
Great call! I'm convinced, as well! I'd like to see her with a few scenes acting like Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada, complete with throwing her clothes and etc at hapless assistants.
I wonder if anyone else remembers that the Generation X made for TV movie starred Finola Hughes. Funny how giving her a British accent feels so right.
