Generation X
I never really took any interest in genx but it would be good to see it relaunched... it would beat genext hands down.
no problem but it was far from the their flag ship x-title...Uncanny has always been Marvel's flag ship X-book
Gen X was great in idea, but bad in execution. They started it just a few months before the Age of Apocalypse, and as soon as that finished it was never the same again. So much potential gone to waste with changing creative teams who had no idea what to do with characters they couldn't be bothered to research.
So, as bitter as it sounds, no. I don't want to see Gen X back. There has been a whole new generation of New X-Men since them, and that led to even greater disaster (but with better writing). Id like to see Synch & Skin back in Necrosha, but I wouldn't want to see them back in a Gen X style team... they're passed being the next generation now.
i didnt mean bring the team back i just meant release the issues -1 to 75 in trades so that people, like me, who werent into comics growing up have a chance to read them. plus id like to see the dynamic between Emma and her students and how it developed from a bitter sweet one in phalanx covenant to the one at the end, maybe realease it as an Essential book (the black and white ones)
Surprisingly I like their first encounter with Emplate, the flirty story of Husk and Chamber, Sean and Emma's affair and yes, this is the time I liked Emma Frost. The most memorable is the Christmas Story where in normal boy accused as a mutant was shot because he was holding his teacher and class hostage.
I collected the series mostly because of the art of Chris Bachalo but when he started to change it, I kinda got dissapointed but I was hooked up with the gen x kids and their adventures.
I wish to see Gaia again though.
" yeah but i personally dont trust ebay, how much do you think issues -1 to 75 would cost? £100 - £200 ($160 - $260) "Generation X 1-75 on eBay.
They only cost a lot because of the cost to ship them from overseas. You'd need patience to wait for a UK based seller to find a cheaper auction.
But the cost of trades is ridiculous. You get approximately 5 or 6 issues per book, with a RRP of £10.99. So that's over £135.
