As some of you might know, Emma got breast implants, it's stated on her comic vine page. If she turn into diamond, does her implants turn into diamond too?
Character » Emma Frost appears in 3473 issues.
.......I'm hungry for pancakes now
Here is a better question for you: What happens to everything inside Emma's epidermis?
I would assume they don't as the breast implants, nor pencil and pancake share her genetic mutation.
Depending on the artist she's either " fogged ", whereas we can't see inside of her = the items are in there but can't be seen from the outside, and likely aren't diamond.
Or, with other artists, Greg Land for example, one can see the ground and horizon and what not straight through her translucent body. But when you look there's nothing inside, no organs, no bones, no systems of any kind, zippo. Not in diamond form or otherwise. This seems to be Marvels design, since all merchandize, statues, toys, ect, is see through like this?

I'm going with disappears into Negative Zone/pocket dimension. That's usually the go to answer for these No Prize Marvel questions after unstable molecules.
I'm sure those boobs have got her some diamonds.
- Knowing her the boob job cost as much as diamonds, nothing but the best for old Emma ya know
I'm pretty sure writers tend to not pay attention. Anyways, on the basis of her powers they shouldn't cause it's Emma's bodily tissues that turn into her diamond form. Her breast implants aren't tissues obviously so therefore shouldn't.

When she shattered she was diamond through and through. There were no leftover bits.
I agree with god_spawn, I don't think the writers have considered what would happen to her internal pieces if she has a diamond form. What happens to Colossus' organs when he is in steel form? Is the steel simply taking place of the flesh or does he become steel. In other words if someone cut of his leg would you see the bone and would their be blood? I ask because I always thoughts her Diamond for was like Colossus' steel form.
the word "Boobs" in the title of the thread brought me here.
@Vance Astro: Colossus' transformation I believe is different from Emma's. His bodily tissues do transform, but IIRC he has no organs though when he transforms and his body is filled with a type of energy instead of blood. He has been shown to bleed blood once when Hellvrine stabbed him, but more often it is the energy and on another occasion nothing comes when the nimrods broke him, I'd have to double check. Emma's anatomical cells all turn to diamond and solidify. Since Emma has only been broken twice, once with the diamond bullet when she was just diamond rubble so completely solid and the other when a dreaming celestial probe blasted her arm off her arm stub was completely solid as if her skin, muscles, bones and blood fused together. If I had to make a comparison, Emma's body would be more along the lines of like Rockslide or Iceman IMO.
I just see the options boiling down
-Yes they do solidify with her even though they aren't a part of her cellular make up which goes against her powers.
-They solidify around the implants since they aren't part of the make up and shattering the artist didn't bother drawing it in the one time she completely did.
-They disappear into the negative zone for some reason. I do personally feel like this is the least likely option and in Greg Land's recent arc on UXM, he actually had Emma solid instead of like glass like his previous take on her diamond form. It could very well be an artist's error or is just up to interpretation depending on the artists.
-Writers just don't pay attention.
- I wonder if Greg Land has issues trying to draw a transparent porn face?

HAHAHAHA...same here...ahaha
hm. I expected something else.. Not particularly dissapointed but not excited either :P
@moywar700: Lol, no answer is better than? It was a joke. The Marvel letters pages used to pin up questions called No Prizes, where the question had no answer or the writers made a mistake. They would almost always jokingly blame it on unstable molecules or something involving another dimension (things that were missing in one panel for no reason would be said to go to the Negative Zone, ect). The they would award the reader a No Prize for catching them off guard (they received nothing naturally).
- With her attitude Emma is no prize herself..

If their organs didn't shift they would die when they return to normal flesh after having been spending more than a few days in there other forms (both of them have spent weeks, they don't eat or breath or drink in those forms. Quasi organic forms tend to all work the same way, if you cut off Bobby's arm you don't get blood and organs you get a pile of ice. If you cut off Chambers arm (Generation X) there would have been energy underneath, just like when his face and chest and organs were blown out.
Perhaps in the Marvel U they have a more advanced, natural procedure for breast enhancement?

Awesome question!
When Emma was shattered into pieces like DH pointed out, there was no floppy saline balloons bouncing around so according to Marvel, those suckers turn diamond too.
Negative zone yes, and the No-Prize should be rewarded to Moyvar for the question and Catpanexe for knowing about the prize. :)
I think this is an awesome question even if it is kind of weird lol. I still see it just being something the artist didn't bother showing or really paid attention too since it's supposed to be Emma's bodily cells that diamondize and they technically aren't. Or it could be just as you and DH were pointing out. It's one of those questions along the lines of likeSpider-Man asking how her outfits always stay on.
Maybe Emma just used telepathy to make people think she has bigger boobs?

This actually wouldn't be a bad theory (especially considering what she does in Old Man Logan) if she hadn't spoken about her numerous plastic surgeries multiple times.

Well yeah, she can hardly tell people that she's playing tricks on their minds 24/7. It wouldn't be appreciated.
@The Dark Huntress @CitizenBane
Didn't we already try that theory out about her being fat?
- Maybe once they entered her body they became just as cold and hard as her heart?
Am I the only one that came expecting more pictures?
There should always be more questions like this....
Everyone knows she used Elixir to naturally augment their size. There's no silicon in that body anymore!
well this is from a what if story but this could be possible

Emma looked only semi-transformed anyway so her heart may not have shifted yet. Regardless, it is non canon and goes against what we have seen in her only shatter instance when everything was shattered.

Great answer considering the kind of tech in Marvel and the kind of money she has, it's possible. Maybe she had regular implants but went to mutant town or had a procedure on Genosha and had it redone by a mutant plastic surgeon that can just make them bigger. I mean they had their own tattoo artists and fashion designers and brothels, why not a mutant plastic surgeon. Or of course the artist didn't really think people would notice. Maybe the flaw in her diamond form is in her boobs and the bullet destroyed them.
I'm confused. Why would Emma need implants?
Still, I'd hope her insides underwent some change to protect her from bodily invaders. That would raise the question of her heart and other organs still functioning as diamonds, though. I guess if her arms can still move, her heart can still beat, lungs still work. Still, it's strange to think about.

She doesn't bleed when in diamond form. When her diamond arm was severed she stayed in diamond form to prevent bleeding out. And she doesn't breathe, eat or drink too. When she completely shattered, her consciousness was still attached to her diamond fragments. For all intents and purposes in diamond form if she doesn't bleed and her consciousness still exists but attached to her fragments when shattered, it seems more of like a golem effect. I'd consider it sort of like Rockslide or Iceman if they break except Emma can't willfully reform herself. So her body is void of the need for any life sustaining functions.
Do some of you people really think it's because the artists (yes, more than Land have depicted transparency, I just used that example persay) are lazy, or are you just venting? I only say this because if any of you drew say Emma Frost with breast implants floating around inside of her, as well as an undigested chocolate bar and diamond form internal organs making her look like the Hollow Man science class model, Marvel would fire you. Noting the image did have the attention to detail in it right down to the inside of the waistband on her pants, and every little stone on the ground that could be seen through her body, ect, despite Land's sometimes crude work and accusations associated with his representation, I can't say it's out of laziness, but common sense regarding aesthetics.
Arguably, if she were transparent, you /should/ be able to see organs, bones, undigested food, etc. Is it an appealing thought? No. But by depicting her as transparent, it does raise the question of why can't we see her innards. Just saying, it's a catch 22. Either way, Greg Land still sucks. :) Yes, Emma turns totally and completely diamond, otherwise her skin would have shattered and a very gross skinless Emma would have been left behind in New X-Men. *shudder*
