Plot Summary

The family was at the hospital and Adrienne tried to apologize to Emma. Emma can't read Adrienne's thoughts for some reason. Her father comes in and starts telling them they can't see Christian. Emma tries to go by herself but is restrained by her father, then her butler. Christian was finally allowed to sleep at the Frost mansion and he was resting in his bed watching the X-Men on the T.V. Emma comes in to visit him. Emma talks to him for a bit and she realizes how depressed he is and that he really wanted to kill himself. She and her sister have an argument again and Emma discovers pills in her mother's cabinet. Emma goes in her brother's room to find him not acting straight. She reads his mind and realizes he is high on heroin and knows who gave it to him. At first she thought it was Cordelia, but it wasn't and she has no idea who it was. She tries to tell her father and he pretended to mean every nice word he said. Later he would pick Emma to be the one he passes his assets to and sends Christian to a mental hospital. Emma declines the family fortune and yells at her father some more. She storms out of the house and goes off on her own.

Yet another drama-filled tale of the Frost family filled with deceit, anger and huge changes in the family that will lead to quite a different future than one might expect at the beginning of the issue. And even though all the issues before this had a similar concept, it never gets old, and I still am in love with Miss Frost after reading this series, I truly believe it is here that she's at her best.

Now of course, the big characters in this issue were Emma, Winston and Christian, Emma growing to hate Winston more, Christian losing his faith in Emma and Winston basically disowning Christian. The issue was interesting to me just because I love to see the relationships Emma has with others because they are always intriguing, seeing as she knows what people really mean when they say things which leads to her ignoring what they actually say and paying attention to what they think instead, something that has caused her to learn a lot of things she shouldn't have.

The ending though is easily the peak of the story arc, when Christian is hauled off to a mental institution and right then and there Emma decides she is done with the family, and she leaves them...to prove that she can make it without them or their fortune.
