WHY DID THEY KILL HER? WHY?
I am so going to miss her, and I just want some support in my mourning of such a wonderful character.
Elle Bishop

RIP Elle Bishop
"I, for one, am happy she's gone. All the Veronica Mars stars on the show are dead now. There is a god. lol "This is not about Veronica! This is about Elle! They might have the same actress, but it was a different character, AND a far more fascinating one too!
Oh how I shall miss "The Bitch"!
I'm thinking the real reason is her contract was up. The show has gotten expensive to make (each episode) so they probably figured it'd be better to kill her character off rather than try to negotiate a new contract. Also, she may have not wanted to do any more and try to focus on her movie career.

For example with Elle they could have had Sylar sternly tell her to leave him maybe even threaten her at the beach so that he could find out the truth behind Arthur and Angela Petrelli. Thus Elle's character could never be seen for quite a long time until many seasons later like in 1 cameo episode of a later season or even bring her back as a full blown character in seasons to come. This not only frees Belle from playing the character but also gives her the opportunity to return to the show if the whole movie stick doesn't work out.
