Elizabeth Howlett was married to John Howlett Sr. and became wealthy land downers in Alberta. Elizabeth Howlett is the mother of James Howlett, who eventually becomes better known as Wolverine. She remains secluded from the rest of the Howlett family as it is believed she suffers from some form of mental illness. On the night of her husband's murder and the subsequent killing of her lover Thomas Logan, Elizabeth commits suicide using a shotgun.
