iam preety sure some people have been confirmed carriers of dormant genes such as danny moonstar, even so this brings up the question could elixir possibly ever give or remove powers to people buy gene alteration

It's as Aztek said, they're just not mutants any more.  In a school surrounded by dozens (if not hundreds) or friends who had lost their powers, plus Dani who is his legal guardian, Josh did try to 'cure' them.

Yeah, I was pretty sure they covered that immediately post-M-Day in issues of "New X-Men". That's why xerox-kitty's around, though...

@pixelized: When was the last time their writers remembered they even had a tentative/new family?

@xerox-kitty: I'm still hoping they haven't forgotten about Amanda Sefton and Dr. Strange's promise to tutor Pixie in magic. It's not like either of them have much going on right now.

@pixelized: I've already chucked that down to a forgotten promise... Although I'd find it amusing if she turned up in Strange's new series.

I think in X-Men vs. AoA, Pixie's introductory box said, "seems magical, but pure mutant youth."

    you may be right.
