Elementals # 22 - The Book of Creation

The Elementals track down Chrysalis and after a lengthy battle finally manages to defeat her. Meanwhile Reverend Jimmy Skagg brings in an interrogations professional, named Doctor Emilio Pasqualia. The Doctor tortures 1200 people using different means, until they all die. The hope is that some will return from the dead with superpowers, just as the Elementals did. The Reverend's psychotic revelation does indeed prove to be right, as six people return with metahuman abilities. He dubs them "The Rapture".
