Merican comic book writer, currently working on Captain America. Has also written on Uncanny X-Men & Daredevil for Marvel, and Batman & Detective Comics for DC.

Brubaker is best known for his work writing with a crime style in all of his comics. He has worked with many well known writers and artisists such as Darwyn Cooke, Brian Michael Bendis, Billy Tan and Matt Fraction.      
 
Brubaker’s first work in comics was as a cartoonist, writing and drawing Pajama Chronicles for Blackthorne comics , Purgatory U.S.A. for Slave Labour Graphics, and the semi-autobiographical series Lowlife for Slave Labor and later Caliber Comics.  
 
At Caliber, he briefly edited the anthology series Monkey Wrench.  Brubaker's first work for one of the two major American comic book publishers, DC Comics published a  "mature readers".  
 
His first superhero work was on Batman, which is one of the most recognised superheroes of all time. His first major work for Marvel was the fifth relaunch of the Captain America series.
