Earth 2 Building Momentum to Move Mountains

The Good

Wow, I really enjoyed reading this title this week. Earth 2 has been one of those comics that started off a little slow and has slowly but surely gained speed and this month's issue felt action packed. The war for the Earth has begun and Steppenwolf and his Hunger Dogs tear the world Army to pieces. Our heroes get their wits about them and try to deal with the fallout and the book ends in a twist that I can't wait to see the answers to. You'll have to read it to find out.

The art in the books was also great and really lent itself to illustrating the chaos and destruction that reigned in this book.

The Bad

There may be a little too much narration in this issue, which can be expected in a book that holds so much action from page to page. Some might think it feels a little rushed, though I felt the pacing was fine.

The biggest low point is that I realized today that this will be James Robinson's last issue on the title! Noooooooo! Who's going to take over?

The Verdict

Good issue, maybe not new reader friendly. Overall though, this arc has really come together and I can't wait to see what happens next, even if I am a bit dubious with James leaving DC Comics.

The Good:Everything. Seriously, if I could do a one word review that would be it. Robinson closes out his run on this book with one of the most explosive surprises in recent comic history. His run suffered for a few issues when it was announced he was leaving but he left this book with an absolutely jaw dropping ending. The art by Nicola Scott is flawless and the story's perspective is told from a variety of interesting viewpoints. His run suffered for a bit when it was announced he was leaving...
