    Character » Dust appears in 1105 issues.

    Dust was a student at the Xavier Institute and one of the New X-Men in training. She is identified by her Niqab, which she wears instead of the traditional X-Men uniform. She is currently enrolled at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning.

    I'm so glad that Dust is in Age of X story, looks like she's taken on a Hijab instead her usual Niqab. What do you guys think of this picture? Which would you prefer her to wear Niqab or the one in the picture? :)

    I don't know you guess. With out her niqab you can see expressions on her face. Look at her, it's like the first time you see Dust smiling while in action.

    They're all members, except Dust, of the New Mutants. Maybe there are New Mutants in the Age of X.

    Yep, you can also tell by the pink cog-like aura around her :) 
     
    As for Dust, I like the design.  They can't go for the all out outrageous & fashionable look since that's already been done in House of M.  However, I think someone could have sent better source material to Mr Yu, since I've never seen a Hijab look like a hard hat before.  They're usually far prettier, and have lots of folds & flowing material.  Still... nice redesign :)

    I'm sure it's just artistic interpretation, but I do think the 'hard hat' looks a little odd.  I'm sure the rest of the art will be top notch :)

    Ok now, what do think Dust's role in Age of X. It's strang that they placed her with the New Mutants characters.

    It's not that strange really.  The Age of X will cover the different generations of 'new' mutants, and she was one of the more mature students at the Institute.  So she's probably a couple of years younger than the regular 'New Mutants'.  But it will be interesting to see how she works with them & what she's like in this new reality.
