Dream Girl is a member of the Legion of Superheroes, she has the power to see the future in dreams and visions Edit

News

Dream was born on Nltro in the thirtieth century, she first appeared in Adventure Comics #317 (February 1964)

Her home planet is Nltro and She was romantically involved for many years with fellow Legionnaire Star Boy. She used her planet's science at which she was to be portrayed as expert to change Lightning Lass into Light Lass by changing Lightning Lass's original powers from lightning casting to making objects super lightweight. Partly due her non-combat but effective power, she then trained to become a skilled martial artist to learn to combat.

She left the Legion temporarily after first joining as she said she had joined under false pretenses as she had foreseen the deaths of some Legionnaires while dreaming and she proceeded to get those Legionnaires expelled from the Legion on the charges to save their lives. She was for a time a member of the Legion of Substitute Heroes until she rejoined with Star Boy, who had been previously expelled from the Legion for killing in self defense Nura's former love, Nestorian Kenz Nahor, who had tried to kill Star Boy over jealousy of his relationship with his former love Nura.

In the re-incarnation of the league Dream Girl is back. Dream Girl first stops an assassination attempt on the United Planets delegates by a spy. Brainiac 5 had compiled data for 3 days and sent Dream Girl, Karate Kid and Element Lad to stop the spy. The Legionnaires looked like they were beat until Karate Kid woke Dream Girl from a day Dream and she took the spy down no sweat! Saying how she thought they had already beat that guy.

After Dream Girl defeated the spy, We learn her powers frustrate teammate Brainiac 5 to no end because there is no rationality to it and it is not scientific. Dream Girl then interrupts Brainy talking about a conversation they have not had yet. Dream Girl, Karate Kid, Shadow Lass and, Brainiac 5 were all sent to Dream Girls home planet of Nltro to investigate why no one under the age of 18 was able to sleep.

On Nltro the Legionnaires bring a crazed teen before the high council and Dream Girl pleads to know what is being done to fix the problem. She also explains that with out dreams Naltorians cannot interpret their visions and would begin to lose their precognitive abilities. The high council of Nltro claim that the lack of sleep is a disease and to not worry it will work itself out. After it is found out that it is actually the adults committing the crime against the children Brainiac takes off, leaving the other 3 Legionnaire's to fight the Precommandos (Precog Cops) The cops lay a beating on Karate Kid and Shadow Lass until Dream Girl distracts the police so they focus on her totally on her. With a quick back attack from her teammates the cops are down. Dream Girl knows that more precious are on the way but she also knows that there is something the high council does not want the kids to see. She tries to get Karate Kid to knock her out but he won't so Shadow Lass Blind sides her with a mean right hand. Dream Girl then views the Destruction of the Universe by an unknown enemy and his army. When she wakes up she says one word ... Brainy. Dream Girl leads the team to the public service broadcaster where they find Brainy "Attacking the problem" as he says. It comes down to Dream Girl choosing either to let the youth know what she saw and how little time they have left or security and comfort... She smashes it!

When the team returns to Legion headquarters Brainiac 5 began explaining to Dream Girl how all it would take was one person, one casualty to have the willpower to break destiny, that the universe was more unpredictable then they give it credit for and her visions do not have to be infallible. Dream tells him he will feel differently when they are married.

After this the Legions true enemy is revealed. Terra Firma lead by Elysion and Lemnos. Terra Firma attacks the planet Helegyn. During this attack Dream girl has a vision but she cannot see past an hour, after that all she sees is black. After capturing Elysian Dream girl takes out her frustrations on him. During this Dream girl expresses faith something unheard of for pre-cogs. Brainiac 5 and Dream Girl have their moment while he tries to figure out her problem. At the end of this Terra Firma makes there move and Dream Girl sees it all. They suicide bomb Legion Tower and the plaza were teens have gathered to support the Legion. Brainiac 5 and Dream Girl head there. Elysion is released and using his earth controlling powers brings down Legion Tower on top of everyone around. In the chaos the answer to Dream Girls problem is answered... she cannot see past her own death. Dream Girl is crushed in the rubble of Legion Tower.

After she dies, Brainiac 5 puts his force field around her dug out and great condition body. Then later it is revealed that Brainiac 5 has Dream Girl in stasis and is using a captured Lemnos to try and bring her back to life.
