An 1972 entry in the Dracula series by Hammer. The film abandons the Victorian(1837 - 1901) and Edwardian (1901 - 1910) setting of previous films. Dracula has survived to the 1970s and is now active in modern London.

A hundred years have passed since Dracula and Lawrence Van Helsing killed each other in their final battle. Johnny Alucard, a descendant of Dracula's servants, manages to bring the Vampire Lord back to life. Dracula goes after the descendants of the Van Helsing family: Lorrimer Van Helsing and his young granddaughter Jessica (Stephanie Beacham).

Dracula is interested in Jessica in more ways than one, while also preying on her friends. He plans to turn her into a vampire as his final revenge to the Van Helsing family. Lorrimer is forced to follow the family tradition in vampire hunting.
