Dot was a co-protagonist of the "Castaway Island" series, debuting in 1936.She was daughter to a ship owner and followed him in sailing the Pacific Ocean. When the crew abandoned their ship during a storm, Dot failed to follow them. She and forgotten crew member Larry survived in a desert island.
