Doomlord first appeared in issue one of the relaunched British weekly - Eagle in 1982.

His first three stories were all photo strips, but when Eagle was revamped with issue 79, all the photo strips reverted to hand-drawn traditional comic strips.

Doomlord's adventures ran all the way through (with a few short breaks) to issue 395, at which point Eagle started reprinting earlier Doomlord adventures.

The majority of the run was not story-based, but rather a continuous saga, that unfolded over the course of its 363 episode run.

As well as the weekly comic, Doomlord appeared in one-off stories in the Eagle Annuals and Holiday Specials.
