Was Doctor Strange made after Vincent Price?

He was the master of Horror everyone knew him/loved him.

so was he the inspiration for Doctor Strange?

PS. Dr. Strange's middle name is Vincent

Well the artist behind him was Steve Ditko. Price was at the height of his fame at the time, though how big a fan Ditko was I don't know. Ditko isn't the easiest person to get information from.

Apparently Stan Lee disowned that movie. He looks oddly like DC's Captain Marvel, if he were an 'adult' movie star.

A more legitimate version was planned in 86, written by Bob Gale (who co-wrote Back To The Future) but it was never produced.
