Doctor Octopus is a supervillain originating from Marvel Comics. A former nuclear physicist and atomic researcher, Otto Octavius' life changed forever when one of his experiments went horribly wrong involving his four mechanical appendages used to assist him in his experiments. From then on, Octavius soon after his initial encounter has become one of the most dangerous supervillains in the Marvel Universe.
I'm trying to figure out at what point people started LOSING respect for this great character. He was always one of my very favorites, especially around the late 80's, early 90's, when he rocked the white power suit. That ruthless, magnificent bastard is still my favorite take on Otto, and I have to wonder why no one seems to remember that version. The closest we've come in terms of characterization is, what, "Negative Exposure" by BKV?
@cyberwarrior: Comes from Invincible Iron Man 503, Otto basically has a nuke that'll blow up New York if Tony doesn't, as well as some other stuff, essentially worship him.
