Galactus isn't a Villain , he's just really hungry

A Great villain would be Alex from Clockwork Orange or Mr.Rictus

Because both of them are pretty EVIL

They Rob , they Rape, they Kill

I feel Doom is greater cause like Lex Luthor, he has no power greater than his mind. But Thanos is good to, but hard to relate to.

This is the greatest villain ever. Power, Intelligence, whatever they come to the table with is what they got. Besides, Doom is highly reguarded as the second baddest villain. It, like the truth, is out there. Thanos is number one. Dr. Doom couldn't get his hand on the infinity gauntlet, now could he? He's to busy doing stupid sh!t. Time Platforms and crap like that. Reed has like seventy of those sh!ts. He needs to get his mind right. He really slacking on his macking. I think if she got a girl, put up with her  b!tching for a little while about how he ain't sh!t, he'd have a fire under his a$$. lol That's if he likes girls.

If u based it on power then there are a lot greater than Doom and Luther (Sinestro, Loki, Apocalyspe). But what makes a villian great. Doom would be feared if he was stripped of his armor. Also his personality to where he not evil and even has a certain nobility about him. And then there is the human quality. I'm not gonna say Thanos isn't (your welcome to your opinion) but there is a reson that others (like Darth Vader) are compared to Doom.
#28 Posted by Iron Maiden (364 posts) - - Show Bio

That don't make him the greatest. At some point you have to go off feats, and I'm sorry, but Doom don't got nothing on Thanos. Yes, Thanos has a lot of physical power, but he's just a smart as Doom, if not smarter.  what makes a villain great is his nobility, it's the fact that he'll roast you if you fu%k up. He would give you the chance to get up. He'll stomp you until your mother doesn't notice you anymore. Who really cares if their enemy is noble. This ain't camelot. Who cares about a human quality. Thanos gave up godhood. That's strength of character Doom will never have. As far as villains go, in the end it doesn't matter who your compared to, it's who you crushed. And Thanos has crushed just about everyone.

Remember Doom beat the Silver Surfer and the Beyonder. How's that for feats. Doom's intellect could make him easily a cosmic threat but he only want's to rule earth for the betterment of the planet.
#30 Posted by Iron Maiden (364 posts) - - Show Bio

Stealing Beyond's power means he wants more than just the earth. Thanos has Whup'd Norrin Radd and duped the elders of the universe. He doesn't go for the small prize. He's not someone to be happy with the bronze medal. That's what Doom does alot. He'll settle for the bronze and the silver instead of going for the gold. That's why he's second best. He's to wrapped up in other people's lives to really get his sh!t together. Listen to what you wrote. Doom's intellect could make him easily a cosmic threat, but he only wants to rule earth for the betterment of the planet. You really putting this cunt rag up there. The betterment of the planet. Real badass villains ddo what they want because they want to. Not some BS like that. That sh!t just sounds stupid. If he wanted to rule the earth for the betterment of the planet, he'd kill all the other villains. Makes a lot of sense, right? But he doesn't. Why do you think he doesn't? Because he could care less about the betterment of the world, just that it's one nation under Doom.

#31 Posted by Alpha (7331 posts) - - Show Bio

Doom believes he is worthy to rule the world. He stole the power of the Beyonder to do this right after he  rescued his mother's soul from the demon Mephisto. He has defeated gods and he is just a man. Thanos is one track minded vilian. All he wants to do is worship Death. He is a slave to her. Doom is slave to no one and when this mere human says this, it is believed. If you think power make you great villian, then go ahead a limit the definition, but a great vilian has depth. Ever hear of the term "love to hate"? This is the conncept of a great villian. He or she is so good that you almost want to cheer for them. Doom is this type of character.

#32 Posted by Iron Maiden (364 posts) - - Show Bio

Thanos is way more complex than Doom. He let Drax kill him so that he could be with Death. He's one true love. The guy is in love with Death. How much deeper can you get? That's why he's feared throughout the universe and Doom is barely mentioned in the same breath as him. The Mad Titan is the #1 villain.

I think I am beginning to take a liking to Doctor Doom's Masters. I mean look at what they did to Earth-One Dimension Away!!! They $%^#ing rock! Even if the idea of them being Doom's Masters is taboo...they are still my #1 villains.

The face of The Marquis of Death (left) is finally revealed! He's obviously no one we know.

Doom is a great villain but honestly he is very unreal and incomplete. no character should be perenially cold hearted he should have a humane touch at times

Doom is not just the best villian but the best comic book character ever, in my world at least.

All Hail Doom.

Dr. Doom is a great pick for the greatest super-villain ever.
#49 Posted by Thor's hammmer (7184 posts) - - Show Bio

I'm not sure what you mean by "greatest"
if you mean most powerful it would be someone like Galactus
if you meant the most evil it would be someone like Mephisto
if you mean most Dangerous I would say Thanos
if you meant who personifies a villan most I would say Dr. Doom
if you mean who worked best as a villan for there Hero I would say Venom(eddie Brock)
#50 Posted by PumpkinBomb (493 posts) - - Show Bio

Why can't anyone spell "villain"?
