    In 1973 Williams Verlag obtained the German license to reprint Marvel comics, and from January 1974 they launched a new line of monthly black and white reprint titles. Die Spinne reprinted Amazing Spider-Man, and lasted the longest of all the line, finishing with its 137th issue in May 1979, just before another German publisher, Condor, took over the license.
