im a bit cut they took him from the batman role but this is the next best thing, also we are going to see some dick/babs action :D

makes sense that Dick's costume would have red, given how the new Batman also uses red instead of blue. Also the brooding disposition could easily come from being taken in by Thomas Wayne rather than Bruce. Bruce saw Dick as a kindred spirit and treated him more like an older brother would. Thomas in the other hand would likely try and treat him as the son he lost and Dick would likely never really compare with the idolized version of his son, thus leading to resentment and possibly even hate. He would likely treat him alot like All-Star/The Dark Knight Returns Batman treated him.

I like it, but I think blue would look better.

i don't mind it actually, it blends in better at night than the blue,  but i hope he calls himself Richard, enough of this Dick business
