No offense G-Man but this was just awful. It gave me no info about Dick Grayson and YOU should do the expert instead of some random idiots who don't know anything about Dick Grayson.

@DEGRAAF:
 Fair play. I was just pointing out that for a source of information and fact, it's not a good one. (you can post anything on there) . No offence meant.

And I have no idea what you mean about my first sentence guys. ;)

Backbone of the DCU, the ultimate representative of the evolution of the DC line and the sexiest superhero ever. You can't get better.

No! No! NO!  That. is. a. retcon!  And that Nightwing looked like a cross between Northwind and Hawkman!

The original (and far cooler) origin of the name lies in the original Nightwing and Flamebird, aka Superman and Jimmy Olsen.  They were partnered as N&F in Kandor, as a super-science Batman & Robin, with Supes as the Batman (Nightwing), and Olsen as the Robin (Flamebird).  Grayson chose the name Nightwing, because it allowed him to pay homage to both of his mentors with one name.

The retcon name origin is a travesty of that historical symmetry.

I think Mark Waid was referring to Batman not actually leading the Outsiders. He would oversee them but maybe didn't actually lead them like Dick lead the Titans. Anyone want to debate with Mr. Waid over this?

LOL! No offense to Chris Yost but he sounds like a total nerd. (Chris Yost along with Craig Kyle are the best writers for the X-Men and i wish they would write more New X-Men or X-Force.  Heck! I want them every single X-Book except X-Factor)
