Nightwing:Escalation

Found this on Imdb. Winguts, is this the Nightwing series we've(I) hoped for all along!? There are 3 episodes marked for season 1 thus far. Sounds legit, but is it only a 3 part series??

Sh!t guys, I fked up. I let my fanboyism get the best of me again :l ... Newayz, turns out this is a fan-made webseries/live action. Might be worth checking out if you like film making/indy stuff. I'll certainly be taking a look

Hey there,

I'm Alex Valderana, the director of the web series you mention. And yes, right now we have about 6 planned episodes, and 2 shot, another in production.

Check out the official website designed by producer/actor Audrey Lorea at http://www.nightwingescalation.com

To view episode 1, follow this link: http://www.openfilm.com/videos/nightwing-escalation-ep-1-exodus/

Thanks for the curiosity!

@cxmxalex: The show is okay. I would have expected more Nightwing, than just a mentioning, but I guess it's for build up. I've only watched episode one so far.

@hydrabob: You're absolutely correct, mi amigo. Episode 1 in my eyes is the weakest episode of what we've shot thus far. But, it is all build-up. And we put a lot of work into everything episode 1 and beyond, and the site exemplifies that. The footage however will surpass all that. Thanks for checking it out, regardless!

It might help if you tack it onto the fan film section of Dick Grayson's wikipedia page. Great work guys

Thanks a ton, Wingnuts. We just launched a TON of new material on the website including production photos, a trailer featuring a brief rooftop scene between Selina Kyle (Frances Roper) and Nightwing (Jon Caballero), and also "The Visit", a short film in which Alfred Pennyworth (George Spelvin) pays his due respects to Mr. Grayson's apartment and informs him about the problems in Gotham City.

@cxmxalex: Cool! Worth checking your work, guys. I'll let you know what I think, but to be honest I believe it'll be great.

Holy AWESOMESAUCE Batman, that Superman cameo in episode 2=Fantastic. @cxmxalex: The scene with Dick and Alfred was a fun little treat. The actors were spot-on w/their performances...I forgot I was even watching a film!!! The first two episodes just take on a life of their own, it's really impressive how you manage to capture the essence of Gotham and it's GCPD without having to rely on the heavy hitters too much, if it all(Batman, Joker, Robin, Nightwing, Two-Face, etc) I really dig ur work man

Absolutely we are!!

Episode 3 "Emergence" launches later this month, as it's being scored right now. It features Selina Kyle, Dick Grayson, Batman, Helena Bertinelli, the Thorne mob family, the lesser-used characters Query & Echo (Riddler's trusty followers) and sets the stage for Nightwing taking over the reigns for episode 4 "Ascension".

Can't express how grateful I am to the following I've developed here, albeit as small as it is, still, impressive.

Thanks and for more info go to the official website at http://www.nightwingescalation.com!

Series looks great.

This looks very good. I have a couple of minor problems with it though.

1) Alfred's accent, it seems to be a bit over-played in 'The Visit'. I've lived in the UK all my life and I can tell you flat out that no one speaks like that, the accent used there was just way too cheesy and unrealistic and was the sort of thing I'd expect from the campy 1960's Batman show.

2) The physical shape the actors are in. I get that these guys aren't Hollywood stars, I also get that it's quite hard to find actors who'd be genuinely interested in the role and do it justice, but it does take away from the overall quality of the show when the guy who plays Dick Grayson (his name eludes me at present) looks to be in no better shape than the average guy. I'm not saying he has to be a hulking, steroid riddled, brute but it'd be nice if he looked like he properly worked out .
