Makes sense after all, his comic's been doing well. Let's just hope that they finally stop dragging him of course with ever new event in Bruce's life, and really allow him to do his own thing. That's what Nightwing was all about in the first place; stepping out of Bruce's shadow and being his own man.
@nathaniel_christopher: his solo series ends with issue 30

Doesn't mean he's dying or that the character can't get away from Batman in whatever new role they place him in. The fact his comic's been doing well show's there's an interest in the character.

I think this adds legitimacy to speculation that he is the blonde guy in the Bats-giving poster from a few months ago. Hard to be a street-level superhero when urraone knows your identity. Just agst Spider-Man. What this means for Dick in the short term (meaning over the course of Batman Eternal) we shall just have to wait and see.
Thank you geoff johns for not killing one of the best and most important characters in all of DC...
but screw you for ruining his life and revealing his identity
It looks like his new book will be called Grayson. I'm still worried about Batgirl referring to him in the past tense.
Glad to see Nightwing, or Dick Grayson, still getting a solo title in the new 52, but I do agree that they need to stop dragging him and his title into Batman story arcs and events, it's not fair on the character and ruins the flow of the title.
Honestly, it worries me that they are not killing him off. At least if they killed him off I would not have been worried about them moving the character further from his "glorious past". THis opens the doors for tons of new screw ups. I think there are ways to make this whole Forever Evil experience something positive.......but I don't trust any of DC's decision making right now

Don't how I feel about this....but I am glad he is still alive
unless scott lobdell is still writing new teen titans then that is good news

UUUGGGGHHHH. "Grayson" as a title just sounds so stupid. And from what I gather, they're probably going to make it look like they kill him but he'll go into hiding or something. Kind of like what's going on with Bucky.
What I'm kinda hoping for is that "Grayson" will incorporate some of his "Gray-son" CoO mythology. For example if he were to actually die at the end of Taking Forever Evil, he would be brought back by the Court and he would receive healing powers. After all, what is the point of introducing us to a new mythology regarding Dick Grayson if you're not going to do anything with it, especially when now would be the perfect time to use it.
I don't really want to see a civilian Dick Grayson 24/7, mainly because I don't think it would sell well.
In terms of the name "Grayson", I don't have that much of a problem with it provided that their reasoning for the name is something along the lines of he's had so many alter-ego's that it's no longer about which secret-identity he has but rather the man himself.

Grayson....is a terrible name for a comic to have. Freaking ridiculous.
Batgirl referring to him in the past tense however makes me think he's going to go the whole nine yards and fake his death.
@brobertz: Possibly... possibly...
