Starting from the beginning is a good idea. Dixon has a pretty good run. I'd make a more comprehensive list, but I'm incredibly tired.

I meant from the beginning of the Nightwing Solo ongoing series, which serialized in '96 and was written by Chuck Dixon. But you know that, Teop. ;)

That run extends for something like 71 issues, and after that comes the Grayson run, which I'm currently re-reading (but it is hated by most Nightwing fans)

@Superguy0009e: ok can you answer this question for me. how tall is dick grayson cause i am sure he is taller than 5'10.

#7 Posted by SmoothJammin (2333 posts) - - Show Bio

The honest answer is New 52. Post-Nightwing has a way different vibe than the oldschool one.

Dick is between 5'10 and 5'11.

I'm assuming that he wants more than what's going on right now, ie TPBs.

@ReVamp: yea thats what i mean if yo have any suggestions that would be cool

Are you just interested in Nightwing? Or are you interested in Dick Grayson as a whole? Because you can also read series like The Titans, The Outsiders, Batman and Robin (This is Dick as Batman), and the last couple arcs of Justice League of America (once again, Dick is batman here). There's also the JLA arc called Age of Obsidian where Dick is leader of a new JLA trying to save the old JLA in the past.

@ArturoCalaKayVee: well im intressted in both nightwing and as batman.

I agree that would be a perfect place to start reading Nightwing

Some of the best Nightwing stuff (in my opinion) is currently out of print, but may still be available at your local comic shop.

What I'm talking about is the Chuck Dixon/Scott McDaniel Nightwing series from the late 90s.

Vol 1. A Night in Bludhaven is currently selling (used!) for $30 bucks on amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/Nightwing-Vol-Bludhaven-Chuck-Dixon/dp/1563894254/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1333640284&sr=8-2

This series sets up much of where Nightwing stands currently.

Or check it out at your local library!

I actually picked up my first NW issue in the library :)

I still remember which one too, it was the Nightwing/Huntress collected miniseries. There are great gems hiding out at the library

It is somewhat reassuring to go on in life with the knowledge that I am taller than Grayson. Thanks, Marie.

I could've sworn that I read somewhere that he was 5' 10.

#28 Posted by SmoothJammin (2333 posts) - - Show Bio

He is 5'10, according to teen titans archives

#29 Posted by ReVamp (22865 posts) - - Show Bio

I feel lied to.

If you're talking about Dick Grayson altogether I reccomend buying Robin: year one but if you're just interested in him as Nightwing I suggest buying his New 52 series and seeing if you can pick up any of his old ongoing series.

Also pick up Batman And Robin by Grant Morrison!

@ReVamp: speaking of whitch do you think they will make a third arkham game with grayson in it?

#36 Posted by SmoothJammin (2333 posts) - - Show Bio

@Z3RO180: IF they do, he must be included. Haven't finished the game yet but if Wing survives then he goes on to bigger and better things in the third installment. Safe bet. ;)
